CHARITY

Charity and disability have been tied together since ancient times. But in the four time periods viewed here, there are distinct changes in how the relationship between the two ideas work. The documents in this area include items described in the program Inventing the Poster Child as well as some novelties discovered on the research trail. The primary source materials come from Sunday School libraries, service clubs, the Easter Seal Society, interviews with program participants, and collections our advisors have created or directed us to.
